Prof. Dr. Sisi Zlatanova is the Head of Geospatial, Research, Innovation and Development (GRID) cluster, Faculty of Built Environment, UNSW, Sydney. She is the President of the ISPRS Commission IV ‘Spatial Information Science’ (2016-2020). She is a world-known researcher in 3D modelling and 3D data management, and specifically in the conceptualisation of 3D topological relationships. Her resent investigations focus on bridging BIM and GIS, indoor and outdoor, above and below the surface 3D geospatial models in support of Digital Twins. She has leaded a series of projects dealing with many of these challenging topics. She is an author of more than 350 scientific publications and an editor of 22 books. She is an editor-in-chief of the ‘International Journal of Digital Innovation in the Built Environment’ (IJDIBE) and the Sensors Topical collection ‘Positioning and Navigation’.
