Executive Director Smart Places & Cluster Infrastructure Priorities

Simon is the Executive Director, Smart Places and Infrastructure Priorities at the NSW Department of Planning, Industry and Environment. This group is leading the development of Smart Places Programs to embed smart cities into the planning or urban and regional areas, including Western Sydney.  Simon has spent more than 15 years working in the NSW government and consulting to government and industry.

Prior to joining DPIE, Simon has worked in the NSW Government in central agencies and been a leader in government strategic planning in Infrastructure NSW and Transport for NSW. Prior to re-joining the NSW Government in 2010 he worked at the consulting firm Booz & Co.
