As Smart Cities Advisor at Hamilton City Council and Operations Manager at CultivateIT Jannat works with staff, technology partners, tertiary, and the business and wider community to support and/or coordinate digital technology pilots and digital enablement initiatives in the Waikato focused on leveraging technology in innovative ways to benefit individuals, organisations and communities.

In 2017, Jannat launched Wintec’s IoT Waikato initiative, a group for innovators, thought leaders and organisations interested in developing the Internet of Things and digital technology in the region, and that is supporting greater awareness and collaboration across the region in the IoT and smart cities space.

Jannat is also a Principal Advisor at Ecosystm in Singapore in the areas of IoT, Agritech and Fintech
